For its eight-year history the St. Petersburg Design Week occupies a leading position in the calendar of annual professional events for the architectural and design community of St. Petersburg. Design Week will be held fr om May 29 to June 5, 2019 at the ARTPLAY SPb design center and other city venues. Design Week provides a wide choice of events for all participants and guests by combining a diverse business and exhibition program, open and private business events, presentations and parties, as well as special programs for a wide audience. Everyone will be able to find opportunities to acquire professional knowledge, to promote a brand, to get up-to-date information about trends and market innovations.

The theme of the ninth season is 9 DESIGN TRENDS. Our experts will sel ect the nine most interesting and promising interior trends predicted by leading agencies and visionaries for this year. Guests of the Design Week will be able not only to get acquainted with the trends, but also to understand who and how they are developed, what they are for and what they serve.

The clear and convenient structure of the Design Week will be the same this year. Design Week Expo and lecture program in ARTPLAY SPb; parallel exhibition and open business program at different city venues; private parties in showrooms; presentations and art projects – all these events are waiting for the visitors. As always, more than 100 events, including lectures by world stars, trendsetter workshops, round tables and discussions with leading market participants will be the part of the St. Petersburg Design Week.

This year, the format of the main exhibition of Design Week - Design Week Expo - will change. The exhibition will include 9 thematic sections: Interior Objects (kitchen, furniture, lighting); Finishing (floors, ceramic tiles, stucco, panels); Decor (wallpaper, paint, dishes, textiles); Structures (windows, doors, partitions, stairs); Materials (stone, wood, metal); Office Space (traditional and home office); Bespoke Product Design; Country Residence; Smart Home (engineering solutions, heating, home theaters).

Traditionally, the exhibition will again feature sections that in past seasons have caused the greatest interest among visitors - this is the Design Sovet consulting center for the newcomers and the creative section of Design Zona, wh ere designers can present their author objects.

What is new in season?

­ Thematic Days

Thematic days of the business program will allow visitors to plan their visit of the events carefully.

- May 29 - International Design Day: lectures, discussions and presentations with the participation of international stars of design and architecture

- May 30 - Russian Design Day: business and social events with the participation of leading Russian experts

- May 31 – Designers’ Day: a special program of professional training, exchange of experience, business networking

- June 1 (Saturday) – Newcomers’ Day: a special program for a wide audience of consumers and design connoisseurs, including consulting by designers and developers, open lectures on new products and useful tips on choosing housing and interior design.

­ Focus on the presentation of current trends of the season in the exhibition and in the business program. The Design Week Expo trend zone will acquaint participants and guests with interesting objects, and special guests will present the best achievements of world design.

About the project:

Summary of St. Petersburg Design Week 2018 in figures: 8 days, more than 100 events in the business and cultural program, 19 special guests fr om different countries, more than 19,000 registrations for the project's events, more than 79,000 visitors of spbdesignweek.ru. The Design Week Expo at the ARTPLAY SPb Design Center included: 4 days of lecture program, more than 4000 square meters of the exhibition, 74 exhibitors, 4 special exhibition projects.
